This message is mostly for the new folks: just a reminder that when you 
offer to cover a shift, you need to mail to the mailing list, and not 
just the sender. If multiple people reply, the one who gets the shift is 
the one who sent the message that showed up first in the mailing list 
archive:

The goal is just to reduce misunderstandings and miscommunication.
